As our mission to assist the addicted community recover in Lafayette, we offer grants to those who are living in or who have successfully completed sober living and are transitioning back into society. Our goal with Beds & Threads is to invest in individuals who have made progress in recovery. All applicants must meet certain criteria and also be willing to participate in future life skills training & periodic surveys to track program success.

What sort of grants?

Here are some examples of the type of grants we offer.

Living Essentials

We want to help those who are moving out of sober living. The applicant must have lived successfully in sober living for at least 6 months. We offer grants and purchase vouchers for household furniture and other moving in essentials. These items include beds, dressers, hangers, blinds, curtains, rugs, pots, pans, plates, utensils, and many other items. ​

clothes

Another type of grant we offer is for clothing for those actively in sober living or have successfully completed sober living in the past. We can assist individuals with workwear, children's clothes, and any other personal need they may have.  

finacial assistance

Many of us fall on hard times. Day One Foundation wants to invest in individuals that are actively in sober living or have successfully completed sober living for 1 year. Some examples of the financial assistance we offer include utilities, rental deposits, rent, and other personal hardships.
